dont lie ok...
Well depends. I find that the guys who study abroad tend to be more interesting in their points of views and much more romantic. I guess its exposure to a different culture.
In my opinion, or maybe due to my experience, I find that most Singapore guys (Ok, lets limit it to the ones I went out with before) are whiners and real chavanists and too proud to admit their mistakes. Oh, and if they say girls are fickle-minded, they are worse!
They want an independant girl who has her point of view, but get pissed if you share your thoughts and angry if you don't do things their way. They have the idea that girls should work and also do all the housework and serve them hand and foot and usually they are way too lazy to get a fucking glass of water when all they do is laze in front of the TV and scratch their balls watching soccer.
Oh my fav pet peeve: They want to decide what you wear when you go out with them. Those got booted really quickly.
Oh, there are the sweet guys but I think most are way too shy or they are too nice to the point of becoming a doormat. I want a partner in a relationship and not someone who says, "Whatever you want darling." all the time. The key is balance.
As for smoking, well, its ok if its a casual social smoker because it will be double standards if I say he has to be a non-smoker, but heavy chain smokers are a no no to me.
As for low pay, it doesn't matter to me as long as he is hardworking and continues to improve himself. If he intends to sponge off me he can jolly well go sponge off someone else.
Then again to put in a fair word, most of my friends married SNAGs and they are all Singapore guys, and they are great guys. Very gentlemanly, respect women, helps out with housework, shares and accepts opinions, mild tempered, make great fathers (Ok, most Singapore guys make good fathers and this is important). Most of them are extremely romantic as well.
As for dress sense, I don't mind them wearing blue or white shirt. Better then my husband's loud mambo shirts
