I think any female with wits, looks and social experience would think twice about going on a blind date to god knows what kind of function so that you can impress the people there? There has to be better things to do.
I mean...hello~ why would anyone do that? Thought will be: What's in it for me?
Why don't you ask one of your female friends for this favor instead of a total stranger? -

the problem here is not about being open-minded about blind-dates or not.....but why girls here shd trust u based on ur few sentences?

blinddate and companion for a function IS different. unless u din realize it, on a blinddate, u at least have the basic knowledge of tat date and u only have to deal with tat ONE person. companion for functions, u r not only interacting with tat ONE person but a whole group of strangers whom u dun noe.
it's bad if the blinddate turns out to be boring, it's bad if the function is boring... even worse if both happens concurrently....
i do believe in a certain simplicity of life, but tat doesn't eliminate the usage of the grey matter between the ears.....
