  cameras on phones is considered an accessory, so it would not be able to produce what is produced by a dedicated camera.
  
  u can say it is a sort of gimmick.
  
  but having said all that, technology is developing every hour and this 'nano tech' thing may see us getting better cameras on phones.
  until the next batch of phones its a matter of personal taste.

  you want good pictures, then buy a camera =)
  
  if you intend just to capture and view it on your phone. go for a phone with good screen quality, and higher resolution.

  Anything that runs on 65k resolution loses, that includes most of today's coloured phones in the market. I think would be Sumsung and Sony Ericsson's phones that are in front, which models, Im not so sure le.
