What is an misunderstanding?

It is a dangerous assumption to believe that people generally think alike. Humans beings are the most diverse bunch of thinking organisms! The mind simply has too many permutations, possibilities, karmic conditionings and assumptions.
Do we have the power to change another personsÂ’ thought pattern? I think not. We do not have the power neither the right to do so.
The self-impressions and judgment that one has of the external environment is tainted with oneselfÂ’s personal beliefs, thought patterns and assumptions. I, think, it is rather difficult for one to recognize and then see pass one's own karmic conditions.
All the more, we should try not to (quite difficult) judge another person. The other person is simply seeing through his/her own ‘lense’, just as we are seeing through our own. Already it is hard enough to recognize/remember ones’ own internal patterning, so why be so harsh on another; when in reality we might also be seeing through our own tainted lenses of perception.
In theory, everything is nice and easy. In practice, it is a whole new ball-game to maintain awareness under difficult circumstances. -
