So you are admitting that NS is considered by many to be a liability rather than a duty?Originally posted by wuming78:i guess right now the government dont c a need to take tt risk of alienating an even larger portion of the populace for tt.
you choose the way ns turns out to be for you.. that's life.. it's about choices.. if you think it's a misery, then it'll be a self-fulfilling prophecy..Originally posted by Ogbunwezeh:NS sux... Juz like serving prison... Counting down the day where u can release from the misery... juz like prisoner
But we have to face the fact mah, to me i can't find any fun part of NS. If given ORD on the spot in exchange for my few years of my life i dun mind... I have been telling myself to give myself more time maybe i'll change the perception of NS but afterall it still as sux as before... hmmm even worse i must say.Originally posted by Agapae:you choose the way ns turns out to be for you.. that's life.. it's about choices.. if you think it's a misery, then it'll be a self-fulfilling prophecy..
Considered a soldier after 3months BMT? Thats barely the basics learnt there. Training to be a soldier is a neverending on-going process. I learnt most things when i was in unit, train to be soldier for the concrete jungle.Originally posted by Bollywood_Beng:how is we wished singapore NS was like that..to speal honestly..u are considered a soldier once u have finished BMT..the rest of the 3 years is just a waste of time
yes. i think it can be agreed that most singaporeans understand the importance of ns and noes its necessary. however tt does not mean everyone loves it.Originally posted by SmallPanda:So you are admitting that NS is considered by many to be a liability rather than a duty?
weapon handling my head ah.........the most dangerous thing they handle is their multi knifeOriginally posted by edLow:more of a long OBS camp training... probably with add-in National education + weapon handling (wanna if they do get to learn)?
Dun mean 2 offend, but M'sia's so called NS camps was really one screwed up attempt to instil NS values ... lack of planning and consideration for racila/gender issues .. simply horrendeous & appallingOriginally posted by keymaster:One thing i like about Malaysia's NS is that females are involved. It is FAIR ! a country belongs to all citizens living in it.. morever in small population like ours, we should make full use of every able human.
Guys ! am i right ?
