why are girl nowdays so realistic?

well...recently fallenfor a girl i know at a trade fair...
then ended up quite close and I really wanna make her mine...
but guess what...
she said she is very material driven and only like boys with their machine...cars...
why nowdays girl so damn realistic?
can't they look abit further?
isn't there any true love around?

Materalistic gals are actually a driving force for the male working force. Cos men will be motivated to earn more to buy fancy cars and houses to impress those gals.

heard and saw a few examples from my mom's generation where the woman is dependent on the husband financially and therefore has no choice but to stick to the marriage for the sake of supporting the kids even tho the husbands abuse them or are deeply indebted in gambling or drugs etc. Ended up suffering.
One of my mom's fren chose a different route: learned a skill, got a job and earned her own keep... and finally managed to get a divorce with the custody of her kids too... and freed herself from misery of being abused.
so gals our generation should learn to be independent...for our own good! -
