a gentleman is much more than a guy who opens the door for the ladies, etc. He is someone who is respectful of others, and takes care of the people around him, puts others before himself.
and anyway, gentlemanly behaviour is just icing on the cake to the ladies. They won't have the icing without the cake. -

well there is another way to impress.
if you can understand a girl within a short period of time
know what she like what she want do it for her and she will be impress
lke you can remember her birthdate and what she want, she sure impress (for my view lah)

and i still love gentlemanly guys! esp guys who i think won't be gentleman de! for example, like i have this guy friend...when we are in a group, he's always very funny and like to suan another guy friend. so at first, to me, he is just another typical handsome popular guy...you know.
then once, we went to have dinner at a pizza place. i was the only girl out of the 8 people. when i was about to find a seat to sit down, he surprisingly came over to pull my chair out first to let me sit first! whoa. my impression of him immediately UP by at least 60%. hahaha! very gentleman sia.
then he sat opposite me. when pizza was served, all the guys like want to snatch the pizza right, then he stopped them by saying, "oi oi oi!!! let the girl have it first ma! wah lau you all..mother nv teach you all how to be a gentleman ar!"
hahahaha! then he served me a pizza on my plate, then proceeded to serve everyone else.
and when everyone was tucking into their food, he smiled at me first before eating. hahaha.
really great!!! gentleman behaviour plus humour.
it's like, a surprise soft side of him or something! very attractive indeed! also, he didn't try too hard. and he isn't a gentleman because he has ill itentions or something, as in, i know he doesn't like me in that way, but still he showed his gentlemanly charms. my other girl friends who are also his friends also reportingly mentioned about how gentleman he has become recently. it shocked us all but it was a good experience! hahaa -
