First of all, choose a a brand of foundation that you are really comfortable with. Make sure the foundation has talc in it for that soothing and non-irritable factor. My gf uses Anna Sui and the ease she uses it is like spreading butter on a slice of bread. I even indulge in some foundation occasionally
