How Come Lingerie Was First Designed by Men?

  Met up with a girl friend yesterday and she remarked to me, "How come bra is first designed by men? When men do the designing, they always have a perfect shape in mind. This means it's hard for those who falls out of the range to find the bra they need."
  
  I was at a loss of words and I just smiled. Any comments about this?
