i think you can try to be involved in his studies. know exactly what his syllabus is teaching and check his homework to see if he is answering the question well, because ultimately the exam question are whatever they had learnt.
whenever one of the parent is around, make sure he study. when none of you are around he can go play. if one of you are around at least 3 hours a day then he will study at least 3 hours a day.
you need to have a plan so that future PS4 do not touch the ground.

yes you are right, he might hate me, but who know he might thanks me in his future, mobody will know the outcome, is just like a gamble. If he continue to go on like this, it will be out of control.. will go astray.. maybe i am wrong, but still hope for the best

you don't have to hope for the best. spend money to look for professional help. im sure there are professionals out there who can provide advice. take note that they are advice, you have to decide whether their advice is right or wrong.
