WhatsApp doesn't understand the web.
Mistake one - it only works on a single browser
Mistake two - it requires the current WhatsApp client for Android, Blackberry or Windows Phone
Mistake three - It doesn't work if your phone is not connected to the internet.
Bonus Mistake - using APIs that are not on the standards track.
I read in some forum that this will drain your handphone battery faster.
Is this true?
ur fone still has to be connected to the internet (data or wifi) in order for the web one to work
it's a mirror

It is easier for the developer to sync them, than to create another bunch of code.
Also, it relies on your mobile number for authentication, hence the need for your mobile device to be constantly connected.
