  Question: If the post were not taken down, and legal proceedings took place, what consequences would there be?

  I believe that the court would just hand down a court order for the post to be removed if the court is of the opinion that the post is defamatory. Failing that, the next step for Mindchamps would be a full defamatory suit.

  Any truth to my opinion?

  If so, should sgforums give in to the demands of the public, just because a "threatening" lawyer letter was received?

  Would such a behaviour encourage other persons/companies to do the same? 

  However, if the reason that sgforums took down the post was to avoid the cost of the legal proceedings, I can understand.

  for those who have yet to screenshot or save the page..actually you can still find the comment there..

  while the original post have being deleted...you can still see the comments because one of another fellow forum user have quoted the person whom the education business is insisting Sgforums remove that specific post..

  Yes they did, so no cause of concern..

  But i don't think they state in the lawyer letter to remove all associated post..so until they send the 2nd revised lawyer letter..let's see how slack their team is..
