I still keep my childhood toys with me, those really good ones with collector's value like ultraman. I'm over 30 years old, male and I continually buy toys, both newly released and from my childhood including those which my parents threw away. Toys are not just playthings, it's sweet memories and have collector's value too.
I find that ppl who threw away toys have no "sheng huo qing qu". To them, life is just working, earn money, pay bills, get married, have children, then die. It's the same group of people who tells me no need to arrange food so nice on plate after they hv cooked it, as after eating already, will pass out messy from backside. Such ppl only exists because they have to. Their life is really an existence only, not living.
For me, I'm living quite a colourful life. Living and loving every moment of it.
sian man... we used to have all the old school stuff. WWF hulk hogan all those action figures. then my mom threw them away when we shifted house. if only we kept them! can sell for huge money haha
there is a difference between being nostalgic and living in the past.

You always jump on your superiority wagon to make you look good but you're hardly original. Ok, so I'm autistic, living in the past, nostalgic, old-fashion but so what? Did I win a prize or broke a law?
Aren't those 2 things the same? According to ProffessorHouse.com, "living in the past is like visiting and re-visiting history hoping that the past can alter the present, or reminiscing on "what might have been, or chewing on plain, old fashion nostalgia."
Every so often, when I'm in the tranquility of the late night, I find it therapeutic and heart-warming to dwell in the past - both happy and sad memories. I look at old photos, old belongings, revisit past events and ponder what might have been if I were to do things differently back then. Then I would end the night by drawing tarot, sort of something to look forward to. If this makes my boat work, why not?
I don't follow "sayings" of other people to live my life. Why should I let go of the past? Why can't I dwell on, revisit and embrace the past?
