No i dont think its gay.
Especially if the reason is functional/technical. Some people like myself cannot wear spectacles and engage in vigorous activties due to all the sweat and heat.
Contact lenses would be a better option in that case personally.

is it weird to wear contacts? no. coloured contacts? no but you look gay special designs? you're a gay, a wore, a child rapist, into bestiality or necrophilia is it cheap? depends on your cash cheaper than specs? never you also have plenty of chances to infect your eyes specs can actually make one look better/cooler/cuter anyway
