Why does Singapore lawmakers seem to pay little or no attention to the environment and its citizens' health?
My concerns are related to housing, transportation, energy use and fighting common diseases. I am still as amazed of how underdeveloped this small but great nation is in all of these aspects, as I am of the fact that no one seem to care enought to want to improve the situation.
Following the technical advancements in more developed countries for the past two to three decades, and considering our economic resources, there are only so many small things that we could easily implement in order to improve the quality of life for an entire country, and for generations to come.
Legislate the cure that cost only a few dollars, rather than outlaw the symptoms by taxes/fines/incentives/fees. Why not simply raise the bars to the best international standards available?
