Can I ask what you mean?

Just ignore non-constructive and non-topic-related comments like his/hers...
He/She was referring to IBTL: "In Before The Lock": An abbreviation posted to a thread on a web-based forum when the poster knows that any rational debate has long since been abandoned, and will shortly be locked by the forum administrator.

$10 prepaid can use for 2-3 months if you're disciplined enough to use it for important/urgent matters. Those "what's up", "how r u doing" chit-chat messages are redundant. Reserve chit-chat for email.
Of course it is redundant.
It is redundant to send causual messages to someone who finds it redundant.
My whatsapp is better utilised on someone else who values my concerns.
It is all about needs and wants.
Smart people will not be calling others smart or stupid.

I don't get you... Can you explain?

Don't need whatsupps:
Method 1: meet up in a cafe or someone's house, discuss.
Method 2: email with everyone involved in 'To' field, discuss. Abit slow but got black and white.

I use whatsapp for group conversations with my family and another with my buds. It's more visually easier to handle than iMessage

wechat and line is much better
Why don't you use LINE? It's a free messenger app. Most of my friends opt to use LINE now. We're addicted to the stickers thing.
What's App cost you $.99.
I'm too used to messaging...

Or like you said, can meet up and talk with someone... Even as I pay 5 cents for every message I send (no Whatsapp or any other apps), I pay for privacy+safety, so it's worth it. My friend KS ever told me that my female friend stays up quite late, as he said that his Whatsapp chat with her said 'Last Seen' at 11.30p.m. or around there... Isn't that invasion of privacy? Thus, if you get Whatsapp, you're exposing your privacy to others, which may pose dangers...

What if not everyone is free to meet up on the same day? It is wiser to discuss and post materials on whatsapp since you can post pictures etc.. this is much more faster and saves time
Email also can do this, no need whatsupp.

Email is better, free of charge, you can send as much emails to discuss.
Depends on your participants, whether got the heart to discuss in email. There is no cure for bo sim.

Aiyoh, nowadays no one really uses email in my generation... Sorry, but I don't really get 'bo sim'...

For me, I don't care about trends and what's hip, what's cool, what's in, what out. I'm not a crowd follower. I don't care about what other people think or label me.
If something is good, I will continue to use it and see no reason to change it.
Example: Been using Yahoo mail all my life and never intend to change. The new Yahoo mail can store 6,000 years of email and it's free and easy to use. That's great enough for me.
Btw, Singapore's younger generation (born after in/after year 2000) is only like what 0.0001% of the world's population. Alot of old fogeys (born before year 2000) around the ENTIRE world are still using email and even Yahoo mail.
Nobody around the world is going to care about Singapore's younger generation's trends. A few years later, the current younger generation is growing old and becoming old fogeys too.
