a scratched paddle requires more MP to cast magic
I don't think we'll see our resident dragonboater in here any more.....
Kena hammered by common sense is severe pWnage.

to tink i wanted to join dragonboating after secondary sch.
see you guys like this, no mood liao. just stick to muaythai
nothing wrong with the sport.. a lot wrong with the mentality of some of the people who walk around carrying oars which they brandish in people's faces...
and being obnoxious about it...

Our quarrel is not with dragonboaters as a whole.....
Our quarrel is with moronic dragonboaters who bring their bigass heavy paddles around in public without caring for public safety. And that fella especially kena pummelled because he seemed to care more for his paddle than for whoever gets smacked in the face by it.
Dragonboating is a good sport..... all that we're saying is, don't act like an ass while doing it.
DB is out
Polo Boys is in!
They're begging you to shove it up their behinds.
A scratch will destroy the protective coating on the paddle. Then water will get into the wood in the paddle, as the result, the wood in the paddle absorb the water and become heavy. At the same, it distort the shape of the paddle, the turbulence create by the rowing will drag the boat...
Should invent collapsible paddle then might solve the problem

Yada, yada, yada.....
Bottom line is, if you really care so much about your paddle, then you should keep it at home instead of bringing it along with you to Orchard.

your coating is that lousy? and the water getting into the wood would not be significant.
and it definitely doesn't distort the shape of the paddle. hello, you think you're racing in F1? any additional turbulence by the rowing using a distorted paddle won't even have a noticeable effect.
