Anyone read about the article above. Any comment?
I agree.
I should have the right to die, anytime I want, at any age. The state should provide me with a painless and quick way to die.
I agree but to a lesser extent.
I support euthanasia but not the right to die anytime at any age. It might be disastrous (only IMO) if we were to allow the right at any age. Especially for teenagers because the transition stage might be difficult with the hormones and all - self-esteem and suicidal tendencies might drive them further along with the legalization of such acts.
For those afflicted with illnesses that bring a lot of pain and suffering, the right to die should be legalised but only if the patient has expressed prior consent themselves while in a healthy state. (We commonly argue in class debates that it might lead to patient manipulation in this scenario though)
My right not to be born into a poverty-stricken dysfunctional family with a mentally-unstable narcissistic mother has already been taken away from me.
I want to die with dignity....it's my life, my body, my choice, my right to decide.
Fuck both psychologist and psychiatrist.

Please don't be this rash!
No, I am not suicidal now. I think we should treat suicide like abortion, because even without "suicide clinics" (abortion clinics), people, if they really want to, are still going to find a way to die. Why not a mess free option?
I have this impression that allowing suicide clinics will make the process of suicide easier so more people may kill themselves as a result since it's legal and all.... though I'm not sure if legality really matters if someone has their mind set on it already.

Suicide clinic is mess-free and no ambulance services will be wasted on that suicidal person. Why not? Better than jumping from the building, people are going to get traumatised by the jumper and it gets REALLY messy.
Those ambulance could be used to saved other people

She want to be born as an animal in next life, that why.

I believe this topic has never been discussed or debated openly. There are many future plans on how to improve or increase the nursing care system in Singapore. This is not going to solve the main problem as people gets older, they fall sick and bedbound for whatever reasons but still live on with the aid of nursing till they die. They cannot enjoy living out their twilight years. Many have to die alone or have no more meaning to living. They probably just wait to die. How they die, depends on their health condition. Some may die in their sleep while others may suffer till the last minute of their death. Can one choose how you could die? A painless and peaceful death is what everyone hopes? But how? So is it possible to have assisted suicide legally available? No doctors will dare to put a stop or end the suffering of these elderly.

In Singapore....
You can afford to die but you cannot fall ill.
