Hi Everybody,
my name is T.C. and I am a senior citizen from Singapore. I want to tell you what happened to me during the last 4 years. Up to summer 2011 I live together with my son Fook Yew and his family.
As common here in Singapore we lived together in one flat after his marriage. When he got his 2 sons we were all very excited and thought to live in a happy family. So while Fook Yew and his wife Hazel were developing their hawker business we took care of the children.
Meanwhile the boys got old enough and did not need any more the attention and help of theirgrandparents. That’s when things started top change. Hazel – her name fits her very well. I assume you can all imagine a hazelnut, brown and round, this is Hazel, 3 feet 2” tall and as round. This makes it easy for her daily job in their hawker stall named Ample Tea House. She must not walk, but can simply roll around. Anyhow when she figured out that the kids did not need me any more she started to isolate me in the apartment. They were no longer talking to me and the only contact was their maid.
In July 2011 I stumbled in the apartment, fell and knocked my head. My grandson Don arranged to bring me to the Changi hospital. They found that I suffered from a brain hemorraghe, which should be treated immediately. However my “beloved” FUCK-YOU decided that I had lived long enough and did not need any further medical treatment nor the also suggested rehab. Instead of that he dumped me in a small room without further medical treatment, probably hoping that I would not make it much longer.
Luckily my older son informed my daughter who lives overseas. So she flew in from Europe took me out of that hell-hole and brought me back into Changi hospital as I suffered from an acute pneumonia. After I had recovered from this she brought me into a nursing home, where I get professional care.
Since that time my “beloved” son FUCK YOU never visited me once again. He even
rejected to pay his share of the nursing home and medical expenses. So my daughter had to get to the local family court, which then forced him to pay.
Right now I am still alive and can only communicate with the help of others. However I try to stay alive as long as possible, so that FOOK YEW at least must
pay for quite a while.
FUCK YOU FOOK YEW !!

I think this article was extracted from another source. Its not written by the Topic Starter. Should have given us the link reference so we know its not from TS. However, I am not surprised because there are many cases like this happens in Singapore now. That is the reason senior citizens should be independent financially and try to be in good health. Do not depend on their grownup children and their family for financial support. The best a senior citizen should do is to retire in a nursing home voluntarily with his or her own financial retirement expenses. If they cannot afford to do that in Singapore, then do that abroad with their own retirement fund financial support. Then they will not burden their grownup children and family as they aged....and passed over later.

Wow - this is pathetic! Are Singaporean now dumping their elderly parents like rubbish. Then why involved them in the upbringing of their children. Is there no law in Singapore to protect these elderly parents. It is obvious that these elderly parents are being abused at home without the knowledge of the outsiders. Can doctors or hospitals not do a routine check?

The way I see it, his own son is a sissy or coward...afraid of his wife..maybe. -
I agreed with mahmood - son is a sissy and coward. I think he listens to his wife to kick his son out in a nursing home and stop visiting him. I hope he gets the same from his children when he gets old. God Bless the Father.

I don't think this is written by a Singaporean senior citzen.
They usually won't use the word, "fuck", never use the word "summer" to describle time (BTW we in one season country), we use metres instead of feet, we use "flats" instead of "apartments".

In the old days, when you have many children, others will see that as a treasure because when the children are all grown up and married, they will in return take care of the parents as they aged. Now...its different, their own grownup children couldn't afford to support their aged parents because they don't have enough to take care of their own family and their ageing parents cost of living.

What karma? OR retribution. .later. don't believe this shit. Money is more important. The longer he lives the more it costs. Very expensive to be alive when you get sick. Better let him die and I have money to spend for myself.

I know this family. Ah Kong TC is a very nice and mild person. Did not see him such long time. East point mall renovation so they moved to bedok point.
