SINGAPORE: The Singapore Flyer is in receivership.
Accounting firm Ferrier Hodgson has been appointed as the receiver and manager of the company's charged assets.
Still it's business as usual at the giant wheel.
Ferrier Hodgson said it is looking into identifying investors to manage and enhance the Singapore Flyer, and will ensure smooth operations at the Flyer throughout the receivership.
The Flyer has been an icon of the Singapore skyline since 2008.
The Singapore Tourism Board said it reserves its rights as landlord and will be closely engaging the various parties involved to ensure the best possible outcome that enhances the tourism sector.
It adds that it looks forward to a smooth resolution with minimal disruption to visitors.

maybe running out of juice, no more new stuff about the palce to attract people, stuff and services too expensive, rental for the shops and facilities there too expensive, cannot be labor hor- all so cheap ones working tehre already
The Flyer is only good at as a gaint fan to blow away indonesia smoke
lehlong lehlong $5/round lah
sure many ppl go take
including me.
the flyer is targeted to tourists. if sgreans wants take also have to pay same price.
they should have some public events there to attract crowds and the occasion tourists who might be there.

So expensive.
$30 for 30 mins is for members of public, the Flyer sold tickets to travel agency for as low as $12 only, then these 'touts' sold them at Little India at $20 per ticket.
make it turn fast fast lah like a rollercoaster more exciting
every person can go 5 rounds pew pew pew
im surprised it lasted that long

again another phail tourist attraction.
they only target those 3rd world coctry people like ahtiongs who never take ferry ride before, like sgreans have been taken for a ride many times already they still think the tourists will be like us like to be taken for rides again and again.
should have more casinoes that can geenrate revenue.
lastets in the news they dont see permananet banned as a good solution to addicts to gambling, becasue they say ther eare other avenues to gambling even if they ban them so dont ban better.
hungry for money until people's addiction also dont care!
Turn it into a casino. Problem solved.
London eye is in the city. with MRT nearby. Lots to do around the eye. A the river Thames similar to clark quay within walking distance, restaurants, shopping etc . River boat service and plenty of taxis to bring the money in.
Pricing : 20-37 pounds..( adults )
It is a very popular ride , with double loooong lines . People even paid extra to get priority boarding.Yes it was that crowded.
Singapore eye.. : pricing so so... what? 3 yr old kids pay $21 ??? they won't even remember anything ! Not family friendly at all.
...hard to get to...too out of the way ...low cost public transport limited.... 5 mins walk from MRT in that hot sun ? No thanks.
$4 one way water taxi ? Round trip for a family of 4 will cost them $32. Ouch.
Nothing much to do after the 30 mins ride...... not within walking distance to anything else interesting.
Want to copy also fail. Can we please come up with something creative and unique instead ?
Analysts noted that the Singapore Flyer was not attractive to locals and did not encourage repeat visitors while tour agents also told The Straits Times that the ticket prices were too expensive and some had stopped taking tourists there.

if you happen to take photos for couples who ROM there, its a free ride.
if you do vacation photography for families or couples, they happen to ride there also get a free ride. but no lah ride that time busy taking photos of subjects not really know what's going on.
its a slow ride so that people can so cll enjoy a bird's eye view of the vicinity.
You don't need to be on the Flyer to see all the tall buildings around you.

You better patent this idea.
They might actually do that next time.
