As we all know,While the mobile phone brings great conveniences to people, it also raises new challenge on the security of confidential work. In recent years, the wiretap, cheating in examination, medical negligence and gas station explosion with mobile phone occurred and it has aroused great concern of the society. Maybe it's one of the reasons that promoted the appearance of cell phone jammer. You may be watching a nice movie or enjoying your nap when you get free for sometime. Still you have chances of getting disturbed with your most loved ones and close friend chatting near you on the cell phone. At such hours, if you really care for your free time then you need to buy a cell phone jammer.
jam again?

IN VIEW of the increasing incidents of abusive behaviour towards health-care workers ("Protect health-care workers from abuse" by Dr Zhang Weisheng, last Thursday; and "Abuse of health-care workers on the rise", last Saturday), it is time to examine why economic progress has brought with it the emergence of the "Ugly Singaporean".
Part of the reason is that many of our children are now brought up by maids, and they lack the strong cultural milieu to cultivate codes of good conduct.
Once they grow up, they treat nurses the way they treat their maids - because they know of no other way.
When I was growing up, I was immersed in the culture and traditions of my grandparents, who made me read San Zhi Jing (Three-Character Classic), which taught Confucian morality.
My uncles and aunts told me stories from the Chinese classics of great men and heroes with outstanding conduct.
These have influenced my thinking and conduct in later life.
Now, some affluent, Westernised Singaporeans throw litter, abuse nurses and are road bullies.
Fortunately, they are a minority, but nevertheless, the trend cannot be ignored.
Singaporeans must learn to be self-disciplined and civic-minded, and respect other people, regardless of their social standing.
The other problem is that we have been brought up expecting the Government to take care of everything.
Hence, the solution to littering is to increase fines, use closed-circuit television cameras and increase policing. But what happened to self-discipline?
It is time for Singaporeans to grow up.
George Wong Seow Choon (Dr)

All these usually happens in the wards. In the Operating Theatre the medical staffs will not face these ugly Singaporeans but they face ugly and nasty surgeons. I left the health industry because I felt that the medical staffs have taken good care of the patients but the medical staffs are not being taken good care by the hospital management.
healthcare is no longer what it used to be. Now, it's about cost management and put anyone needing their services into ensuring that the treatment is cost effective not seriously about active healing. It's a business not a charity.

In a way you are correct to say that until SOP protocol in the hospital are compromise just to make the surgeons happy. Within the healthcare worker world itself there are many urgly Singaporeans and FTs too...usually they look for their co-worker's mistakes and make a big thing out of something that is petty...professionalism is lacking unlike in overseas hospitals the medical staffs will just mind their own business. I worked in the healthcare industry for afew years..work in two hospitals and one medical centre...I've seen it all...then I decided to quit and change career.
conflicts between the people as the top want to justify the cost effecient of sustaining the hospital or med centre. When factoring the treating of a simple illness with all the machines and big surgeons waiting; they have to recover the cost. This is a material world even saving lives.
