People's Association bids farewell to Yam Ah Mee

SINGAPORE: Singapore's favourite Returning Officer Yam Ah Mee is retiring from the Civil Service.
And he had a farewell party worthy of a star on Thursday.
Like a rock star, he wasn't about to go away quietly.
All eyes were on the Chief Executive Director of the People's Association as he belted out his last performance.
The crowd loved his music... but nothing was thrown in his direction.
He wished his successor Ang Hak Seng, chief executive of the Health Promotion Board (HPB), all the best... before a final goodbye toast.
With that, after overseeing four elections in two years, Mr Yam bid his farewell.
