ROM in Singapore and Divorce in other country

  I am working in Singapore by holding Employment Pass and my wife is in Australia. We did ROM in Singapore. If we want to divorce, do we need to do it in Singapore or can we do it in our country? If we do in our country, do we need to update in Singapore as well?

  I have a close friend who was married to a Japanese National and they got married in Singapore. The marriage didn't last and at the end since they were married in Singapore, my friend filed the Divorce in Singapore. I'm not sure about your case. I feel that the best thing to do now to be sure, you should approach ROM to get a better picture of your case. Have you approach ROM?
