SINGAPORE: Staff
from Gardens by the Bay have visited the 22-year-old woman who was
bitten by a stray dog at Bay East Gardens on Monday night.
According to an eye-witness, three stray dogs attacked the woman while she was strolling through the gardens.
One of the dogs had bitten the woman's legs and the bloodstains could be clearly seen.
The woman was sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, and has since been discharged.
A spokesman from the park says staff will continue to render her assistance.
The
spokesman adds that the park has been working with the Agri-Food and
Veterinary Authority to set up traps at Bay East Gardens.
An AVA
spokesperson said that they have been conducting control operations in
the vicinity of the Marina Grove and Marina mall since this January, in
view of public feedback on stray dog sightings at construction sites in
the area.
To date, seven dogs were rounded up, of which two were re-homed and five were euthanised humanely.
The
park has advised those who encounter stray dogs to stay calm, slow down
and walk in a different direction from the stray dogs.

lay traps???
better to spend manpower to comb the area...
dogs like to hang out at factory area and construction area... though it's rather rare to find dogs near construction area nowadays, I'm sure some of us know why
Like last time, Jurong Island used to have alot of dogs... But after some ppl moved in, the dogs disappeared...
Yes, lots of stray dogs in industrial areas, but I take care of them with chocolates.
actually apparently, the staff are not doing their job well... Not been patrolling well...
If dogs were really a problem, then why the dogs no appear when the ministar go walk walk??

Only when I get in ranged, usually its on trained dogs with owners, at hawker centres, and coffee shops.
This is NOT acceptable in Singapore!
employ some snipers to shoot them ?

Garden by the Buay...
This reminds me... I'm still wondering how come there were dogs in pulau ular... when I was doing ECC project...
Ditzy used to be a cat. He hates dogs.
Stray dogs in Singapore survive by the grace of humans. Thats why they are at construction sites and factories, those humble people there feed the dogs. The dogs are used to people. There are also people who hate animals. These are the people who go "Ai yer...!" and squirm when they see the animals. And the dogs hate them too.
The dogs can wag their tails at humans, they can also knn at some of them. That girl is one of them. Too bad for the dogs don't stand a chance against the garment.
"To date, seven dogs were rounded up, of which two were re-homed and five were euthanised humanely."
ha ha ha. This is laughable.
The dogs are put into a metal floor chamber, and then douse with water, and the metal door closed. A Bangla would then press the red button. Thousands of volts of electricity would send the dogs screaming, and can be heard even through the steel doors.
The next day, they have to recruit a new Bangla, because the previous one can't do it again.
happens so Marina South has MCE construction going on

the truth about cats and dogs.
We cannot just anyhow rehome or euthanised these dogs, must see whether they are alone or with any puppy.
When a puppy forced to part with their parents, no one will educate them how to behave in "society", as a result, when they grow up, they will just act on their mood and instinct, bite anything when they feel want to.

LOL. Humans like all animals, when another invade our territory, we bite! We defend our homes and grounds, just like all the other animals on Earth. We also defend against our kind as well. The God who created this world, created us to be this way.
Think of the way, we kill the cockroaches, mosquitoes, ants, lizards and more.. nothing into our territory!
