Body found at Marina Bay Sands hotel lobby

Just a week after a dead body was found at the foot of Marina Bay Sands' Sky Park, another one has been found -- this time at an outdoor area outside the hotel.
In a statement issued to the media, MBS confirmed that a body was found outside the Rise lobby restaurant on Wednesday evening. Local media reported that the police received a call at about 9pm.
An MBS spokesperson added that both the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force were called to the scene. No further details were given, however.
Twenty-two year old national serviceman Marcus Ong, who was present at the MBS hotel, told Yahoo! Singapore that he saw police officers around the lobby and on the 4th and 5th floors at 1:15am. The body had been cleared by that time.
Investigations are ongoing.
Just last week, a tourist is believed to have fallen from the 56-storey Sky Park. -

Stupid NSF. He doesn't realise that NSFs are treated like dirt.
If his statement clashes with any official version, anyone can just call up his unit to give him extra.

I stayed one night at MBS before.
The couch actually stank to the high heavens.
And you pay so much when there are cleaner places that are far cheaper in 3rd world countries!

I didn't have to sniff at the couch.
The couch came sniffing to me.
It was that bad.
In short, MBS is obviously not worth the money.
But then, I couldn't convince my family and it was my mom's birthday.

Police identify body found outside restaurant in Marina Bay Sands SINGAPORE: The police have identified the body found outside the Rise Restaurant at the lobby of Marina Bay Sands Hotel as a 32-year-old man. Channel NewsAsia understands that the man was an Indonesian guest of the hotel and had fallen from as high as the 52nd floor. It is understood that his body parts were found scattered. Police said they received a call at about 9pm on Wednesday evening. A Channel NewsAsia reporter said she saw police officers and what looked to be staff from the integrated resort crowding around a fountain located outside the restaurant. When contacted, a manager at the restaurant, who wanted to be known only as Keith, said there were still customers at the premises around 11.30pm. In a statement sent later, Marina Bay Sands confirmed that an incident had happened. A spokesperson said both the Police and Singapore Civil Defence Force were called to the scene. The man was pronounced dead by paramedics. Hotel guests Channel NewsAsia spoke to on Thursday said although they sensed something was amiss at that time, they did not witness the incident. Some shopkeepers said that although business at Marina Bay Sands Hotel continued as usual, they were afraid of negative publicity for the integrated resort. A large number of security guards were stationed around areas of high visitor density, including lift lobbies and waiting areas. Just last week, on June 13, a German man was believed to have fallen from the Marina Bay Sands' Sky Park.
