FAST-FOOD restaurants in Singapore use large quantities of disposable cutlery, cups and lids as well as a variety of containers every day.
As it is not mandatory to separate the general trash from recyclable trash, recyclable items will inevitably end up with the general trash.
In Taiwan, South Korea and Japan, I have seen recycling bins in fast-food restaurants.
When customers return their trays, they can pour any leftover ice and drinks into a metallic container, before throwing the cups, lids and straws into the recycling bin.
There is also a separate container for unused napkins and sauce packets.
The general trash goes into a bin below.
The fast-food restaurant chains here should consider similar trash collection methods.
Considering the huge amounts of recyclable trash they generate, the chains should contribute to the green effort in Singapore.

there are trash in the food court that cannot be recycled...
we can only send them back to their country where they were made...
Not only fast food thrash, but our own home trash should be recycled too.
Sg took too plenty trash from everywhere anyway.
Taiwan copied that culture from Japan and Korea 'invented' that culture by modifying it from Japan's.
In terms of development, Singapore still has a lot to catch up with Japan. For example, the modern japanese toilet has functions that will ensure a clean butt.
Life is surreal.
can you resist? PIZZZAAAAAAA.....
but people will get disgusted when they open the metal container

Can I dispose those foreign object debris into trash bin?
I don't mind sending them to the incinerator.

Not sure have to ask town councils.
