Pathetic! Singaporeans are in a pathetic state. All foreigners I know of are employed, many of those singaporeans I know of are either retrenched, still having difficulty getting jobs, working lowly paid jobs which they cannot make ends meet or some holding high positions worrying their posts will be replaced by foreigners.
Having said all these, the arrogant one staying in the ivory tower just shake legs happily taking his highest pay in the world as a PM.
Life is tough in sg.
Life will kick u in the gonads.

They are just looking figures and statistics.
As for cheap labour, SME are all for making money so they will definitely employ cheap.
Even the big company are employing cheap labour.
But, whether they got productivity and quality, those who have worked with cheap labour will experience it.
Cheap not = productivity and quality.
Cheaper better faster.
At the Sg office, used to have 80% Singaporeans in 2007. Now, its 60%. Most of the decisions are expressed by shareholders and accounts department recommendations in the office. Really. Social considerations are normally not considered in such determinations.

I think it's time to get rid of PAP.
by Da Cunha, Derek
The People's Action Party, the nation's ruling party since 1959, made Singapore a byword for political status quo. The electorate was known to be stolid, politically apathetic, indifferent. Until 2011.
In a general election that witnessed Singaporeans' desire to alter the political landscape, the PAP saw its vote slide to an all-time low since Singapore's independence. The opposition Workers' Party secured six parliamentary seats. It was a significant breakthrough.
Opposition parties have always been confronted with major obstacles on their road to Parliament, not least the multi-seat electoral divisions known as Group Representation Constituencies.
With the fall of Aljunied GRC to the WP and the defeat of two Cabinet ministers, GE2011 shattered the ruling party's aura of virtue and invincibility. Breakthrough: Roadmap for Singapore's Political Future examines the circumstances and context of WP's parliamentary gains, and where almost 2 out of 5 Singaporean voters opted for an opposition party.
Singapore's electorate, post-GE2011, is polarised between those who subscribe to the status quo and those who want it altered irrevocably.
As a consequence, Singapore's political future is certain to be marked by unexpected twists and turns, many of which will likely be counter-intuitive.

In some countries, if a company hire someone that is not proper train for the job and cause an accident, the management will be charge in court for negligence of duty. Recall reading something like these PRC driver had no driving experience before and only have something like 1-3 months of training before they take up the jobs. So is the management in the bus company negligence in their duty for properly train the staffs that they hire. Must the person that do the hiring be charge in court. Not to sure do sg have such laws like most of the countries, maybe not as it involve some elites.
