Some notice the brain drain effect because of increasing number of best talents leaving the country, SG should take care this.

We need more talents.
They have to make Singaporeans feel more special during this year's ndp.
Singaporeans behave like they have special needs when they vote in the government yet expect it to take care of their interests and listen to their every word.
They deserve to be shafted.

I think new citizens will negate any decrease in votes.

SINGAPORE: Singapore has pledged US$4 billion (S$5 billion) to the IMF - to increase its capability to provide solutions to the ongoing economic crisis.
Although the pledge is the largest amount ever pledged on record from Singapore to the institution, analysts said this is a small price to pay to ensure the health of the global economy. The US$4 billion dollar loan facility represents just two per cent of Singapore's S$243 billion foreign reserves.
After being slapped by inflation in Singapore .
$5Billion is given to IMF Europe without batting a wink !
Whether it's indirect financing or collective .
Why not give every Singaporean 1 million each to save ourselves .And still have change. We be in a comfortable buffer for at least 10 years .
But it seems throwing $5billion into an abyss is a wise choice in Singapore .

PRIME Minister Lee Hsien Loong said one of his main concerns about Singapore is the divide between Singaporeans and new arrivals ('PM Lee flags two worries'; last Thursday).
This divide, if allowed to widen, may become Singapore's Achilles' heel if it is not managed properly.
It is only natural that Singaporeans have such anxieties as the men serve two years of national service and are liable for annual reservist training, while foreigners enjoy the fruits of stability without having to make such sacrifices.
For Singaporeans to complete national service, and to then see foreign scholarship recipients enjoying free education and competing for housing and jobs, adds to their anxiety.
While the Government has heeded calls to prioritise Singaporeans after last May's General Election, more can be done to address these anxieties.
These measures need not be drastic but should be wide-reaching in our daily lives, so that Singaporeans can feel special about their citizenship.
Some suggestions include differential pricing for citizens, those who have done national service, permanent residents and foreigners, on daily necessities such as transport, utilities and town council service and conservancy charges.
As a country, we have reached a point where foreigners must be part of the talent pool for Singapore to succeed.
While we acknowledge and accept this, let us not create a generation of disenfranchised Singaporeans who no longer feel for Singapore.
Otherwise, whatever economic success we have achieved will be a pyrrhic victory.
Elgar Lee
If by special he meant under priviledhed or handicapped, I fully agree.
Ah ha!
That's why, go massage parlour, take off underwear.
