Former Attorney-General (AG) Tan Boon Teik died on Saturday.
He was 83 and is survived by his wife Sook Yee, children Pip Tan Seng Hin and Tan Sui Lin, and five grandchildren.
Mr Tan, who retired from the position in 1992, served as acting AG from 1967 to 1968, before receiving the full appointment in 1969.
He was the longest serving AG in post-independence Singapore.
