now more and more screw ups.
The problem is the problem is not solved at all. It is merely moved around.
Usually problems are shifted around.
Orchard to Thomson to Bukit Timah back to Orchard.
Like traffic congestion, the root cause is not tackled. They create new roads to shift the congestion elsewhere.
Same with the floods.
They will give you the SOP response.
We are looking into the problem and thank you for your concern.
why dun we give our recommendations here lol.
since we have subway mrt, why not subway reservoir
subway drains and rivers
Haha yesterday at the junction of East Coast Rd/Amber Rd, the water cannot flow into the drains. When cars pass by East Coast Rd, lamp post 106[near the zebra crossing Amber Rd turning to East Coast Rd], they just splash water who ever walk pass.
Called PUB at 1145hrs+/-, took down my info.
i passed by the area around 1258, water subsided, tot PUB was very responsive but...
PUB officer called me 2 hours later after 1145, told me that there is no PONDING.
i replied 2 hours later after i was splashed, my clothes have already dried up, of coz the water would have gone some where else...
SIGH...

The free water could be collected and stored.
One example given was to build underground silos to pump in rain water, and these would compliment our reservoirs.
When there is excess of water, the water rates could be reduced or stablelised. And raised when needed to. Instead of rising all the time.

How to justify million dollar salaries if there are no serious problems to solve?
Its not easy to shift a situation to another location.
Every time flood...must be the road works.
