The body of a man in his late 60s was found floating in the waters around Clifford Pier in the Marina Bay area on Saturday.
A police spokesperson said a call requesting for assistance was received on 26 November at about 8:45am. When police arrived, workers pointed them to the body in the waters. The man was identified to be an ethnic Chinese, but his identity is still being verified.
He was wearing a short-sleeved collared shirt and beige trousers with some personal belongings in his pockets.
The man is believed to have been dead for some time as the police found the body to be stiff and cold when it was retrieved.
Seven bodies have been recovered from reservoirs since June this year. The most recent case is the body of a man found in Pandan Reservoir on 23 November.
Blame it on the.....
( directly opposite Clifford Pier )....
Surprisingly, the death rates seems to be climbing faster than Stock Market indices.
Looks like there is a shortage of land space for dead bodies.
Must be quite difficult to find a bush, where people won't stumble upon.

Come to think of it. The Body Parts case also surfaced off Clifford Pier, even before Marina Bay was build.
Water is not a good medium to hide bodies.

Could it be, water tanks now not accessible, so they switch to reservoirs.
probably lost money at MBS then committed suicide at CLifford Pier,
Well, as long as it doesn't pollute drinking waters....... Funny thing is why this spate of water suicides now?
Frankly the water of Johor's river is much more poluted, that where we get the bulk of our drinking water. Daily there would be dead animals decomposing in the river, and not forgeting the jungle settlements, getting on with life basics along the river.
But the water goes through the purification process, just as the reservoir waters here, before we drink it or flush our toilets with it.
Yes, we flush our toilets with drinking water.
why do people here love to make assumptions?
