Universal Studios theme park in Singapore will increase its one-dayadmission ticket prices by $2 with effect from 19 November.
Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), which manages the park, made the announcement on its Facebook page on Tuesday morning.
While it noted that the three percent price increase will be applicable to both adult and child categories, there will be no change in ticket prices for senior citizens or the two-day admission pass.
Currently, a one-day admission pass costs $66 for adults and $48 for children while during peak periods, the fare rises up to $72 and $52 for adults and children respectively.
Explaining the move, RWS’s assistant director communicationsRobin Goh told Yahoo! Singapore, “This is to cater to increased visitorship for the movie theme park, and Resorts World Sentosa will continue to react to market demand for its attractions, including Universal Studios Singapore.”
He added that this is also the first time a price adjustment has been made since the park opened on 18 March last year.
Goh also said that the park will continue to add new attractions to ensure that the admission fee is worth paying for. These include the recently opened Madagascar ride.
RWS also announced last month that it will open the highly anticipated Transformers theme park ride to the public on 3 December.
Director and executive producer of the Transformers blockbuster franchise Michael Bay will grace the exclusive gala premiere of the attraction a day before the public opening.
sorry no interest in going.
Yet to be known if this is annual raise like the transport fare.

Same here... unless some one pays.... I check my schedule 1st....
To me, the Universal Studio is nothing but a boatlod of crap
when i went in, the feeling is all too fake
i cannot feel each attraction
it is simply a cramp house, nothing more
Once the novelty wears off, people will stop going. They cannot rely on just tourists for business so eventually it will close down

Will stop functioning if this is a free shuttle. This is money grabbing business, MIW will not let go.

Will go if it is free for me.
I think this doesn't affect most Singaporeans.
The greatest regret that I have is not being able to bring my parents to Universal Studio. Since now the price increase by $2, I so troubled and emo by it

whose fukin idea now?
you see hollywood make a movie spend millions and get the profits back after people paid to watch it. theh they archive the tapes or movie digitally, goes on to make the next.
but here idiots actually recreated movies with life size objects and pieces of work, to mimic what movie makers did and movies people had already seen, to attrract people cum here and appreciate it for a price. who or the number sof people whom will cum really is a big ? esp when people alredy watched the movies. unless swaku people who never see fake dinosaurs before will cum, after that there is the high maintenance fees and the place to take care off - all this translates to money. the problem is hollywood can archive and shelf the movie, but here we cannot demolish and make a new one to attract viewers again.
really casinoes, unversal studios theme - people just cannot think far. remeber castle gray skull at jurong, the tang dynasty eventualy went defunct. some attractions in sg just will not work at all. i don;t know ehy they always depend on tourism and foreign cheap labor to make the country 'florish' - hell like fuck it is now.
