SINGAPORE - An event organiser has come under criticism for holding a 'school uniform party', and encouraging students to pose sexily in their uniforms to win prizes.
To be held on Sept 1 at popular night-spot St James Powerhouse, the booze-free party organised by Smoove is targeted at students aged 16 to 19.
The annual party is into its fifth year.
As part of the publicity for the event, students are invited to submit photos of themselves looking "pretty, and hot", in their school uniforms.
The competition has so far attracted more than 30 entries from both male and female students.
The photos have been uploaded onto the club's facebook page and subject to voting by members of the public.
The photo with the most number of 'likes' will win the top prize of $200 in cash and six free entry tickets.
Party-goers are also encouraged to turn up in their uniform for the event, held from 9.30pm to 5am, according to its event listing.
