A 21-year-old NS man raped his ex-girlfriend's younger sister twice, even telling her that "it's fate" after he committed the gruesome deed.
The girl's mother had let him into their home one day, not knowing that he had something up his sleeve.
The incident occurred on 28 December 2006 in the victim's home in Toa Payoh.
The girl's mother left home to buy food at around 2pm in the afternoon. The man then locked himself in the room with his ex-girlfriend's younger sister who was 13 years old.
He ripped her pants off forcefully and pinned her to the bed. He stuffed a blanket into her mouth to stifle her screams, then kissed and fondled her breasts before raping her.
The girl told her mother tearfully what had happened. This led to a confrontation between the mother and the accused the same night at around 9pm at the void deck.
The man went berserk during the confrontation, grabbing the house keys from the mother and running back to their place.
After he gained entry to the flat, he threatened the young girl with a Swiss Army knife and forced her to have sex with him again.
The girl's mother and elder sister could only cry outside the home as the little girl got violated once more.
The man was arrested when he flew back to Singapore from Australia, where he is currently studying aerospace engineering.
He was slapped with 11 years' imprisonment and eight strokes of the cane for two charges of molest and rape.
