If the previous minister was still around, he might have kept policies as it is.
Fast forward 1 month after the elections, things change so fast and furious.

Question time.
Which of these 2 don't belong to the government?
1) Singapore Land Authority
or
2) Housing Development Board
Is it?
I REFER to yesterday's report ('Prices slashed after DBSS flats uproar').All flats on Housing Board land should be built by the HDB itself, as was the case in the past, so that they are affordable to ordinary Singaporeans.
Any profit from HDB flats should belong to the citizens, not to a small group of private developers.
It is shocking that by one stroke of the pen, the developer has slashed the price. This shows that the margin of profit is very high.

Alamak! This is simple common sense matter. Singapore is on the policy of free/open market for most of it. You dun expect a Minister of Singapore to stay in a HDB the same as most people, although a plot of the land of their private house can use to build for several hundred people.
While embarking on the gracious living, people of Singapore has the choice of making living more affordable by not subscribing to any commodity commanding unreasonably high price, until the prices go down in a moderate level. The well beings of future Singapore sons & daughters depends on your prudent decision on spending. Come on people, plse cheers up...

Maybe can use part of these profits and plough back to help the really poor senior citizens who are in rental apartments.
Reduce their rents with part of these profits.
Good idea?
he is not cow or horse.
I just feel that DBSS is for people who has income of 8k to 10k, cannot buy HDB but also don't want condo then go for DBSS. Why everyone focus on the $880k but don't want to look at those 300k flats at those not so "mature" estates?
