A 13-year-old boy was pronounced dead two hours after being hospitalised, after two days of vomiting.
The boy, Noel Du Lijie had been eating bread around 10:55am yesterday morning at his home in Pasir Ris when he started vomiting froth again and was hospitalised. Noel was a secondary 1 student at St. Patrick’s School and has an older sister.
This morning, the boy’s grandparents told our visiting reporter that they had rushed down from Penang yesterday after receiving news of their grandson’s death. The boy’s mother told us that Noel vomited many times on Tuesday night. They took him to a doctor and his condition improved after he took some medicine. However, after eating a piece of bread yesterday morning, his condition worsened which eventually resulted in his death at the hospital.
When Noel started throwing up again after ingesting the bread yesterday morning, his family promptly called the ambulance and sent him to hospital, but he was pronounced dead at 12:50pm despite receiving emergency treatment.
It is understood by Lianhe Wanbao that the boy had been feeling unwell for two to three days, although he attended school on Monday. He was absent on Tuesday and his father had informed the school about the reason for his absence.
The police have classified the incident as non-natural death.

Waiting for more updates...
he died 2 hrs after hospitalisation????mebbe he shoulda stayed home...he would still be alive fer next 2 days.
But it was stated that he was already unwell for the past two days though without specifying if he consume the same bread before he became unwell. Also " he started vomiting froth again" ? Which means he already did before ingesting the bread?
very weird
the boy could have been poisoned from the start
