Haha, what happened between you and your neighbour?

Ha...serve him right.
He old enough to carry his bag.
Distrubing indeed.
Boy turn soft like jelly.
Imho, resource wise, i think it is okay for the maid to carry the bag, as it is her job, and given it is out of camp.
consider this scenario, when NSman returns home,I would believe most would throw their laundry to the mums/maids and out they go. So different angle, but similiar actions leh.
SAF wise, i think the boy/guy should have carry it on his own. but given it is not a rifle or etc, just a pinch of salt.
If this guy was a Bunk-mate during My N.s time, You can defiantly be sure he will get Blanket party at night.

Do it in a discreet way not in full view.

Sun, Mar 27, 2011The photo shows a national serviceman apparently making his maid carry his backpack.
Netizens are shocked over the photo that has been circulating on Facebook with the caption "'Why we need foreign talents in Singapore!"
The photo was also sent in to citizen journalism website STOMP, where netizens have reacted with harsh words, calling the soldier shameful and pampered.
Maybe this guy excused heavy load. haha lol.

The National geographic team should film this boy.
They film the wrong thing.
Film PES C enlistees doing sai kang is good too.

If my BMT platoon sergeant had seen this, he'd kick the guy's butt from Changi Point to Tuas.
Then he'd kick the guy's nuts from Tuas back to Changi Point.
Aiyo, don't make me started on the trolley bags.
Imagine the Sg soldiers pulling their trolley bags at the airport like air stewardesses while the foreign soldiers all carry their camouflage duffel bags or backpacks.
They will become the butt of jokes and won't be taken seriously.
woah.........this is the last straw.... I only got my maid to wash SAF toilets only.
Originally posted by Lokey:I dont see anything wrong. It seems that the guy is rich to have a maid to carry his bag for him. My mom iron my No.4, pack my bag, polish my boots, tie my shoelaces and carry the field pack all the way to Pasir Ris mrt station. And she also charge up my handphone too. I will get my maid to do instead, if I am rich.
may be the one carrying the backpack is his mom.
Maid, please help me carry my bag.
I am PES C9L9 and excuse heavy load.
Thank you maid.

If the SAF thinks soldiers pulling trolley bags are good for the image of the SAF, then I will suggest they stick some pink Hello Kitty badges on the trolley bags as well.
My army friend excused heavy load.
I wonder did his maid help him to carry

Any of these is fine.
But as always in the army, eveything must be standardized.
If one is Hello Kitty, the rest must be Hello Kitties as well.
thhis one's really a chao arh gua. cheebay shibal this type of phot still can take> dare go to the front and snap show that bargirl's shibal facce. see the shoulder insignia is it NCC?
I SHARE the view that a soldier must carry his own backpack ("Another view" by Mr Bennie Cheok; yesterday) and not pass the load to a maid.
The person who posted the photograph highlighted in Monday's article ("He's in the army... but she has the backpack") is not wrong to raise an important point. I disagree with Dr Paulin Tay Straughan's view that youth today have to meet tougher challenges and more complexities that many adults did not have to face when they were younger ("Let's be fair to our young soldiers who do their duty"; yesterday).
When my son enrolled in the army in the 1980s, it was much tougher. The uniforms were made of tougher, heavier material and the backpack was far heavier.
I had a maid then but we never got her to carry the backpack. I felt that going into the army would make my son strong and independent, and it did. The army uniforms and accessories have much improved today using light-weight materials, and the food also has improved greatly.

The guy in the picture did nothing wrong.
I seen parents fetching their sons from pasir ris.
Isn't this worst than the guy?
You all should not criticise him.
