SINGAPORE: A
production engineer has pleaded guilty to five charges of insulting the
modesty of women by taking underskirt videos of them without their
knowledge.
47-year-old Tham Nam Sang pleaded guilty to five
charges while the remaining 80 will be taken into consideration during
sentencing.
He recorded all 85 videos on September 6 2008. Most of them were taken at Ngee Ann City.
Based
on a report from the Institute of Mental Health, Tham was suffering
from major depressive disorder when he recorded the images.
District Judge Soh Tze Bian has called for a probation report and Tham will be back in court on April 28.
For insulting the women's modesty, Tham could be jailed up to a year and fined for each charge.
