A 27-YEAR-OLD man accused of rioting is looking at a more serious charge as the victim in the attack died on Thursday morning.
Mohamad Ayub Jailabdeen was brought to court for being in an unlawful assembly with nine others whose common object was to cause hurt to Mr Gan Ho Leong, 47.
Mr Gan was apparently attacked with broken bottles at about 10.10pm on Tuesday at Tiong Bahru Park.
The others have not been charged and investigations are on-going.
The prosecution informed the court that the victim had died and the case has been taken over by the Special Investigation Section of the Criminal Investigation Department.
Ayub will be remanded at Central division lock-up until next Thursday.
Give them a death sentences.

SEVEN men and a teenage girl were charged in court on Friday with the murder of a man at Tiong Bahru Park on Tuesday.
Segu Jamaldeen Nafil Mohamed, 18, Muhizin Khan, 18, Mohamed Fazuluddin Azeedali, 18, Anandraj Manimaran, 18, S. Durga, a 16-year-old female, Mansur Alikhan, 19, S. Karthikesu, 18, and Abdul Samad Mohamed Kasim, 22, were accused of murdering Mr Goh Ho Leong, 52, between 9.30pm and 10.52pm on Tuesday.
The alleged offence was committed with Mohamad Ayub Jailabdeen, 27, who was brought to court on Thursday to face a rioting charge.
But his charge will be amended to murder in view of the victim's death at about 7.50am on Thursday.
All eight were remanded at Central police division lock-up for further investigation.
Their cases will come up again next Thursday. If convicted of murder, each faces the mandatory death penalty.

I dont like to read this kind of senteces. Giving pple false hope. At the end of the verdict, those convicted will not get death penalty.
