SINGAPORE: The
licensee of the Hotel 81 chain - the biggest budget hotel chain here
with more than 20 hotels spanning from Geylang to Chinatown - was
granted a discharge not amounting to an acquittal for five vice-related
charges.
Chu Poh Yong, 42, general manager of the chain was
originally accused of allowing prostitutes to operate at two hotels in
Jiak Chuan Road, off Keong Saik Road, and Jalan Besar.
The alleged offences occurred between April 27 and June 10, last year.
Under
the Hotels Licensing Regulations, a licensee should not allow anyone he
knows to be a prostitute to occupy a room in the hotel or frequent the
premises.
In a short hearing on Wednesday morning, the
Prosecution told the Court it would be applying for a discharge not
amounting to an acquittal for the five charges.
However, no reasons were cited for the application.

Might as well legalise prostitution, local women won't do it anyway, PAP can import foreigners who will do it. They like money so much, why let other earn this money, might as well open PAProstitutuion chain everywhere just like their kindergarden, ntucs. They can even offer all these foreigner talents with goodies, free childcare services, free taxi rides and free condoms and KY jelly as well as free abortion and other vacinations by polyclinics.
