SINGAPORE: Minister
Mentor Lee Kuan Yew says he stands corrected on a comment he made about
Muslims and integration in his book titled "Hard Truths To Keep
Singapore Going".
In a statement to the media on Monday evening, Mr Lee said the book was based on 32 interviews over a period of two years.
He said the comment on Muslims integrating with other communities was made probably two or three years ago.
Since
then, he said Ministers and MPs - both Malay and non-Malay - have told
him that Singapore Malays have indeed made special efforts to integrate
with the other communities, especially since 9/11, and that his call was
out of date.
Mr Lee said he hopes this trend will continue in the future.
- CNA
hope he stop talking all these nonsense.
Like that also can arh?
