But I dont understand something......is it really true that seniors are more unwanted...?
I imagine that seniors are more experienced, steady, dilligent / pay attention to details, and more trustworthy.......
Apart from some jobs which require physical strength......why wouldnt they be better ?
Right ?

As a matter of fact, older people have higher salary demands than a fresh graduate, and they are usually not as quick when it comes to MS applications like Microsoft Word and Excel.
The next generation of old pple are educated, can lower their salary and not still act like they are the top man. Be humble is the key word and not yaya in the company. I wonder how my manager will be able to take on low pay if he retired. As he is those bossy type.

Actually quite true. Those in their 50s and 60s, they tend to pride themselves really high. Hard to accept being in a lower level position and having superiors that are in their 20s - early 40s.
Even their superiors freak out at having to hire someone older than him/her. Later scold him/her, he complain u never respect him/her.

The one in the 80s ah?
There are over 60 still working in the corporate offices.
HR and administrative fields. They are a different category from the aunties and uncles who clean tables at hawker centres.

One question old pple (who earn a high income) must ask truefully himself.
Can he/she under a young robust manager? Can he/she listen to their instructions?
If not, better dont take up the job, he/she will create problems for the department.
Put your pride aside if old pple still want to be employable.
She should work for Geylang Ltd. A lot of elderly guys looking for elderly prostitutes.

if there is a social problem, we cannot say interfering with free enterprise to enforce employment for seniors.....
what is the system for? to solve the problems..
if everything can be pushed as being our problem and not theirs, what is the talk on sustainability, what is that talk on shared visions and values?
If one stay in the company till 50+ to 60s, yes, there is a chance that the company will let you stay as a part time or contract staff.
But if you are jobless, 50+, chances are you will be jobless for your rest of your life. No one in the company will want you. They rather take their old staff (to convert them to contract staff).
its weird but its true.
only those at the top is 'the older the better'.

You know something, the top who earn 5 figures and past coming to 50s always threaten the lower rank staff of salary too high, too old, and threaten the staff to do more and more, and trying to cut costs on them.
Those on top should get the boot, 5 figures can employ at least 3 top brain staff.
