WHILE many have taken aim at teenagers for not practising civic courtesies on buses and trains, it must be said that adults are equally remiss.
I am a teen, and I often see adults rushing into the train, preventing commuters from alighting, and crowding around the doors instead of moving into the carriages.
Whenever a person stands on the wrong side of the escalator (the right), it is inevitably an adult.
If adults are as blithely inconsiderate, how do they expect teens to behave? I urge adults who complain about the young taking up reserved seats at the expense of the elderly to think of the many times when seniors are standing right by the side of seated adults.

Youngsters must understand that old folks are not as educated as them. They may have difficulties in expressing themselves politely or behave in an acceptable manner.
No matter what, youngster should respect and give them the benefit of the doubt.
