'One can only wish there were NTUC petrol stations.'
MR ANG CHIN GUAN: 'With NTUC Foodfare's efforts in holding off price increases to help consumers cope with inflation ('NTUC Foodfare will not raise drink prices'; last Saturday), one can only wish there were NTUC petrol stations, given the frequent pump price increases by oil companies. In fact, it may be far more effective if petrol prices are reduced as petrol is a major cost component for motorists and businesses.'
Haha.. greatest joke.... theres SPC if you really want a local petrol pump station....
Might as well say PAP run under NTUC. Best.

oil well?
There is no NTUC petrol station but there is JB petrol station...
if NTUC tried to go into this, they'll be treated like they treated the small little mom-and-pop shops and be muscled out by the bigger players
There's a petrol tax of 44c chargable per lit on top of GST.
So dun compare with petrol prices in JB.
how on earth is PAP going to control oil price?
You can subsidise, but then why not subidise diesel for biz and buses from e petrol tax?

1 lit RM2.50 for RON97
works out to be S$1.05.
+ petrol tax + GST + their buffer of 30 sen = $1.729. Current market price $1.976 aft disc, works out 0.875 of SG petrol price
touchwood... TS dun open ur mouth no one will say u one...
Hello Mr Ang Chin Guan,
Why do you think there is FairPrice and Cheers at Esso and Mobile petrol stations?
If there is any lucrative business, you can be sure they will muscle their way in on it.
Can you stop the NTUC juggernaut?
