Website appearances and reality at IR hotel

I HAVE travelled to at least 46 cities in 13 countries to know enough about hotels.
My friend recently returned from Australia and we wanted to make his trip back a memorable one since this year marks our 20th year of friendship. So we decided to book one of the Horizon rooms at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel for a night.
The image of the hotel that was portrayed on their website is a misrepresentation of the real deal.
The hotel was described as a 'Luxury Hotel Casino'. However, it was less than luxurious. The interior of the room was basic, and having booked a Horizon room, we were expecting comfort and stylish decor. But where was the daybed shown on the website? With the luxury of space, we expected more than just an armchair and a tiny coffee table in the corner of the room.
I have stayed in cheaper hotels both in Singapore and overseas and have seen much classier, sleeker interiors.
Then, there's the shoddy workmanship. Strips of loose silicon could be seen and skirting panels that had fallen off from the reception counters were left unrectified.
We hope future customers get a better 'deal' than what we received at this five-star hotel.

Not really. RWS doesnt get as much complains on comfort and service reliability.... just tat its issue with dolphins is causing much stir amongst the animal cruelty soceities around the world.

the crux is the casino biz, the rest is secondary.
