China has passed the million mark for divorces this year, a number higher than their marriages.
You can't stop a divorce or a marriage but the law can protect the women.
As for the $200 crystal nails, i bet most of the Singaporean women used their big FAT bonuses to pay for it. That's how capable we are.

surely u can improve on things...but if any intervention caused it to be lopsided...the problem will overflow...and its time the system should review on what went wrong...
any imbalance is bound to cause greater problems...
women will also have sons...if they do not voice out for more balanced policies...they are doing a disservice for them and future generations....
all their entitled protection is perceived as just plain selfishness....no cause to celebrate...

Go and get a China wife but better marry in China . That country has no protection for women in a divorce, it's a man's heaven but a woman's hell. I think mynmar, thailand , philippine also has no protection for their women. Go and find a wife there but don't expect these foreign brides to be able to share the household expenses with a Singaprean man. Worse scenarios, they can only work in sleezy pubs and KTV and give you more headaches.
I am glad i am a Singaporean Lady. With this Woman's Charter, i feel more protected and secure .

its men that fought for women ...which is the original story of women charter.....its a cycle where both sides need to fight for all...for a balance....
that way the country will progress towards greater equality and sustained social stability...

are you sure it's men who fight for the women ? then these are the real men.Their perception must have changed after seeing how many women suffered in a marriage and suffered more from a divorce.

That's why this country cannot be saved, once certain group gain that advantage, they will never cede this advantage, they will adopt a stance that PAP did with great success.

There is even a lacking of a shared goal of a common destiny under the country of Sinkapore.
The numbers don't lie, more and more people are not getting married. There's no momentary incentive and there's not even any spiritual values in it at all here.
Humans here are measured by their money earning abilities.

Cohabitation is a norm in the States and Europe.
