Missing old-time cinema ushers

WE WENT for an 11am show on Jan 29 at Cathay Cineleisure Orchard, but were late for the movie after being caught in a traffic jam.
The show had already started screening when we entered the hall. It was pitch-dark and we had a hard time locating our seats.
Our present movie theatres may be smaller, but I sorely miss the good old days when ushers shone torches and assisted patrons to their seats when the show had begun.

and frankly, you think people would want to work as ushers?
considering the work they do, and what the employers would pay them, their pay probably won't support a hamster

People need to change their mindsets.
They have to be cheaper better and faster.

ushers got 2 damn good fringe benefits leh..........................
1) they get to watch movies for free......................
2) they get to see couples heavy petting for free...................
what about those elevator operators ?.....................classic mah, people push buttons for you.................
then washroom attendents....................no need scared run out of toilet paper..................

but we not interested to go in, just walk past to the arcade

i go cinema maybe once a year....................most of the movies not worth watching leh...............
so you must know of some free websites where you can see movies online for free lah ?

I only watch TV Ch 5/8/U make me so busy le
even got some VCD they buy from JB I also nvr see
