What is worrying is that tens of thousands and more FWs are expected to find their way here, to a already cramped public space in SG.
Singaporean workers are fussy, choosy, expensive, lazy and short-sighted.
Worse of all, they dunno how to suck up to their boss.
The only good thing about them is they love to complain.
Foreign workers are cheaper, hardworking and united.
Once they are recruited, they will get their fellow comrade into the company.
They also helped the country to improve the GDP so that the KPI of the elites can be justified for more out of world bonus.
Furthermore, singaporeans have to serve reservist duties and RT and IPT duties for their country.
So, less time for them to slave for the company.
Locals have a number of bad habits that is very unhealthy and these are the ones I keep seeing :
- Negative and complacent and boring
- Very serious and cannot take jokes
- Complain complain complain and then play victim
- Self importance and arrogant and yet not capable, worse of all demand respect
- Not creative and always Geng to take short cut and very lazy
- Ask to do something, will find some excuse not to do or not deliver, so manager has to ask foreigner to do
- Back stabbing people and pretend to be friends in front. Always create unhealthy, negative, oppressive environment and vicious cycle
- Always gang up and "script" the outcome, then present the uninteresting "scripted" solution which is not impressive but talk like the best solution and force everyone to accept substandard work from "scripted" solution
- Cannot take rejection and unco-operative. Don't provide feedback or suggestions to improve things and then at the end, when things fall apart, always "Ma Hou Pao".
- Don't want to work hard and cannot deal with obstacle, don't want responsibilities., tai chi kings./queen and no accountability. Siam here and there, yet must spoon feed until almost do the job. But come to salary/bonus, expect to be paid high high and worse, expect to be promoted over you.
And many many many more. deal with locals is difficult and sian.

1 thing we need to noe is that government had increase tax on foreigner. no foreigner=less tax and lesser oncome for singapore and lower GDP.
but ma de i din noe PR and foreigner make up 60% of singapore population.
singapore chinese must give more birth like malay liao.

According to Singstats Data, 85.65% of the resident population (Singapore Citizens and PR) are Singapore citizens, assuming ceteris paribus (all things equal),
Singapore Citizens being employed --> 1,990,700 * 85.65% = 1,705,035
Singapore Citizens being employed (%) --> 1,705,035 / 3,102,500 = 54.96%
Ok, we are not the minority, but we are not very significant, with only 1 in 2 jobs going to Singapore Citizens out of the jobs being offered.

don't forget the Malaysians and the number of malaysian PRs. They are the original FT and the earliest.

BBC just said that Canada took in 260,000 PRs last year alone in addition to its 31 m population but she is huge and SG is minute. The pap-led govt. is bent on taking more and more refusing to give an official cut-off point.

instant adaptation because they are also Chinese. The malaysians and malaysians PRs are also using Singapore as a stepping stone to earn money . $1 to $2.4 riggit. Work here better than back home. So many are still crossing the custom to return home after work. Do they take Singapore seriously as their country?
I see no difference between Malaysians FTs and the others from other nations.
Would like to think that FW from Burma simply dun fit in. They cannot speak any of the 4 SG official languages properly.
Whether we like it or not, this policy of importing foreign talents will be active no matter what we think....so many jobs gone....local umemployment rate goes up !
