why cannot provide a subisdy just because it's work related accident? Yes workmen compensation can provide some coverage but no one is looking to profit from such insurance. Surely the subisdy and other forms of insurance can go hand in hand.
54 years old, 2 teen daughters and a wife who works part time....yet the medisave is cleared out.....good luck man. Lucky they're daughters and no need to serve NS.

On the issue of NS, ever wonder how come NS men cannot get better/higher subsidized medical as a goodwill gesture for them serving the country for 2 + 10 years ?

Anyway I have ever seen a bill for $200k. Treatment of leukemia in a B1 ward. I guess if sgporeans are hospitalised, they should constantly check the update of their bills. Check for all sorts of insurance that can pay for the stay and act accordingly.

it is only free during the 2 yrs of full time ns. and when they go for reservist training.
and since reservist mostly 1 or 2 weeks, by the time of appointment, reservist week over loh.

the man can afford lah. since our govt has been emphasizing that singapore's healthcare is very affordable mah.
he just need to sell his house and go live in tent along East Coast park. and pray that he never have to go see doctor anymore, since i suppose that the next "house" (the tent) he sells might not be worth that much. =P

Usually the army will inform you of your reservaist around 1 month early. so you can go and book your medicial appointment and arrange it on your reservaist period.not only free but can ask doctor to give you mc too so 1 day less of reservaist
