NY FAMILY of five just returned from a three-day stay at Festive Hotel at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS). Nearly across the board at RWS, three basic rules of customer service were found missing: greeting, smile and eye contact.
It seemed like the staff were too busy and preferred to get on with whatever they were doing. We got the same kind of reception at Victoria's Secrets, Candylicious and Hard Rock Cafe.
The only ones who followed all three basic rules were the chambermaids. They seem to be better trained than other service staff.

In Singapore, do not expect service.
All we want is cheaper, better, faster.
